Tell us a bit about your role here at Vision. What do you do?

I am a Business Analyst in the Workspace Services Team, where I conduct on-site and remote audits and perform analyses for our current and prospective customers. My work focuses on documenting our three pillars: Managed Print Services, Business Process Automation, and Unified Communications.

I believe that our Audit & Discovery efforts are essential for gaining a deeper understanding of our clients. This process allows us to uncover pain points, inefficiencies, and hidden costs that are often overlooked or forgotten. From measuring door frame sizes to identifying uncontrolled consumable purchases and assessing carbon emissions, I ensure every detail is thoroughly reported.

Tell us about your journey at Vision so far… How long have you worked here? Which other roles (if any) have you held?

I first joined Vision in 2013, supporting the Corporate Sales and Public Sector Teams through audit and discovery, and statistical analysis.

After a brief hiatus, I was pleased to return in 2018 to help expand and enhance our Audit, Discovery, and Design services across the business. Our offerings have evolved significantly, from simply reporting on print equipment locations and usage to the comprehensive Workspace Audit we provide today.

In our data-driven world, the ability to analyse and interpret data empowers us to make more informed proposals and decisions.

What’s the most interesting project you’ve been involved with during your time at Vision?

The beauty of my role lies in its variety — no two projects or even two days are ever the same. I’m fortunate to travel extensively and witness extraordinary things, from the inner workings of the NHS to behind-the-scenes efforts at a major global film production company. Each day and project bring unique experiences.

A few standout moments include working with our logistics customers and getting a behind-the-scenes look at sorting and distribution processes, and the evolution these processes have taken over the years.

What do you enjoy most about working here?

The culture and the people at Vision are exceptional.

Employees tend to have remarkably long tenures, a testament to the positive work environment.

The company is forward-thinking and adaptive, providing ample opportunities for continuous learning and growth without restrictions. There's a strong sense of support throughout the organisation.

How would you describe the company culture at Vision?

Vision is exactly what a workplace should be: a place where you feel appreciated and recognised.

It's a supportive environment where everyone is aligned towards the same goals, fostering a culture of unity and shared purpose. This collective drive is reflected in our positive atmosphere and strong sense of camaraderie.

At Vision, we all work together, pushing in the same direction to achieve our common objectives, and this is evident in our daily interactions and overall work culture.

What’s next for you? Where do you want to be in 5 years?

Sailing around the Mediterranean on my yacht is a dream of mine, but until my EuroMillions numbers come in, I am dedicated to evolving, improving, and growing my Discovery and Analytical processes at Vision. My focus is on continuous development and enhancing our capabilities to deliver even greater value and insights to the company.

Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?

It may sound cliché, but I truly enjoy spending time with my loved ones. I'm an avid gamer and can easily lose hours in a captivating RPG. I'm also a big movie fan and have recently gotten into podcasts, which make my long car journeys around the country fly by as I listen to various topics.

Away from family and screens, I've rediscovered my childhood love for Lego. As an adult, I find it incredibly calming and relaxing to sit at the dining table and build sets like the DeLorean from Back to the Future, providing a much needed and welcome break from today’s technology.

Finally, what’s an interesting fact about you that people don’t know?

Here’s a couple for you - I was managing a book and discount art supplies store in my local town shopping centre by the age of 19, and when I was of school age I played the trombone. I only agreed to take it up in Primary School because it got me out of Friday morning lessons. I ended up playing it for 4 years.
