10th Apr 2018

DB Schenker is the world’s leading global logistics provider — supporting industry and trade in the global exchange of goods through land transport, worldwide air and ocean freight, contract logistics and supply chain management. Integrated logistics resides at the world’s most important intersections, where the flow of goods creates an effective link between carriers. Their value-added services ensure the flow of goods continues seamlessly and supply chains stay lean and optimized for success. Their business holds top positions in automotive, technology, consumer goods, trade fair logistics, special transports, and special events logistics.

Business Challenge

DB Schenker went to market for the provision of a Managed Printing Service for office printing solutions, scanning and comprehensive cost management, control and accountability.

Vision Solution

Vision installed a brand-new fleet of 73 Multi-Functional Devices (reducing their existing fleet by 37 devices), innovative apps to drive efficiency, Mobile and Air printing and DB Schenker branding on technology. Vision successfully installed Visions Remote Fleet Management (VRFM) for device management and remote diagnostics including; remote meter readings for accurate and timely billing and automated consumables.

Outcome

Visions solution ensures a consistent, simpler functionality for DB Schenker users and is managed with one single provider, Vision. The implementation of a new fleet of devices with one supplier has improved efficiencies at DB Schenker including cost savings.

“Vision proved very effective and highly efficient throughout the entire process and demonstrated a refreshing, highly professional and different approach. The gap between previous technology and Vision’s new solution is significant and will make us so much more efficient with wireless and mobile printing and apps simply not available from many of the competition”.
